Code shows on the calendar. Break is unpaid minutes. Afternoon and night penalties are worked out from the start and finish times; set the rates on the Pay tab.
Build your repeating cycle, then pick the date day 1 falls on. The calendar fills itself from that date. Anything you change on a single day overrides the pattern.
Tap a day in the cycle to cycle through shift types.
Salaried staff get the same salary payment each fortnight (annual ÷ 313 × 12), with penalties and overtime added on top. Paid-by-the-hour counts every rostered hour instead.
Enter the per-annum figure from your payslip. The fortnightly amount uses the same ÷ 313 × 12 rule.
Tax is estimated with the ATO's 2026–27 fortnightly withholding formula (Schedule 1, tax-free threshold claimed, Medicare levy included), worked out on gross pay after salary sacrifice, the same way your payslip does it.
After-tax amounts taken each fortnight, like a power bill, union fees or health fund.
Preset to the NTPS Nurses and Midwives' 2022–2026 Enterprise Agreement: clause 47 shift penalties, clause 49 public holiday duty, clause 46.18 overtime. Shifts that cross midnight are split, so the hours after midnight get that day's rate. Weekend and public holiday rates replace the afternoon or night penalty rather than adding to it.
Untick if you're Nurse 6 or above: the agreement excludes those levels from shift penalties unless clause 52 applies.
Recreation leave: mark a day as Leave on the Roster tab. If your pattern had you working that day, the app adds penalties in lieu of shiftwork (PILS), estimated from your average shift penalty per shift over the previous 6 months, as clause 47 describes. Your payslip shows these as "Pen Pay in Lieu of L".
Rostered off on a public holiday: if your roster covers all 7 days of the week, clause 49 gives a day in lieu within a month, or a day's ordinary pay if that isn't practicable. The fortnight table flags these days but doesn't add them to the estimate.
Penalties often land on a later payslip than the fortnight you worked them, so a single payslip may not line up day for day.
Calculated from the usual NT rules (Mondayised where they fall on a weekend). Part-day holidays on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve are not included.
